| The following text is based on a range of disciplines, including meteorology, hydrology, watershed and range management, agricultural chemistry and soils, agricultural economics, botany, zoology, electrical and civil engineering, geography, and geochronology. The majority of students in the Graduate College have had at least an introductory course in meteorology. However, their mathematical preparation varies considerably, with some students having received training through boundary value problems and complex variables, while others have only completed college algebra and have struggled with the material. Consequently, it has proven to be challenging to design a course that would be both useful and engaging for all of these students. |
